Who we are
Shockwave Electrical Solutions is a sole trader business operated by Liam David Killingback (ABN 24 569 461 345), serving the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne's south-east. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, and it follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). What we collect
When you submit the contact or quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, suburb, postcode, the service you selected, how urgently you need the work, your preferred contact method, and the message or project details you write. We also record that you accepted this policy, the version you accepted, and the time you accepted it. Alongside your enquiry we store the page you arrived on, the referring website, and any advertising tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, and msclkid). This tells us which ad or search brought you here. We do not collect or store your IP address, and the site has no accounts, logins, or file uploads. Only submit the details you are comfortable sending us; please do not include sensitive information such as health or financial details in the message field.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare and discuss a quote, carry out and invoice any work you go ahead with, and keep a record of enquiries we have received. We use the advertising and referral information to understand which marketing is working. We do not sell or rent your information, we do not send marketing email, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website, and they only handle your information to provide those services to us: Fly.io hosts the website and its database, with data stored in Sydney, Australia. Resend delivers the email that notifies us of your enquiry. Google provides analytics and advertising measurement, and only runs if you accept optional analytics. These providers are based in the United States, so your information may be accessed or stored overseas. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Otherwise we do not give your details to anyone else.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, and Google Ads to measure which ads lead to enquiries. These run from the moment you arrive, so we can see which pages are useful without asking every visitor to make a choice first. You can turn them off. The cookie preferences link in the footer lets you switch analytics and advertising off independently, and your choice is stored in your own browser and respected from then on. The site works exactly the same either way. We never send your name, phone number, email address, or the content of your message to Google. What is measured is page views, the links you follow on the site, and whether an enquiry was sent.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond, complete any work, and meet our tax and electrical-record obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer useful, and we will delete yours sooner if you ask.
Keeping it secure
Your enquiry is sent over an encrypted connection and stored in a private database that only we can reach. We take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, though no website can promise perfect security.
Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email swelecsolutions@gmail.com or call 0478 062 760 and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at swelecsolutions@gmail.com so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will publish an updated policy here with a new version number and effective date. The version shown at the top of this page is the one that applies to enquiries submitted today.
