Good to know
A safety switch that trips repeatedly is doing its job: something on that circuit is leaking current. Common culprits are failing appliances, moisture in outdoor fittings, or damaged cables. Unplug appliances one at a time; if it still trips, it's time to have the circuit tested.
Ceramic fuses, no safety switches, frequent tripping, flickering lights, or any warmth or buzzing at the board are all signs it's due. Boards older than 25 years rarely protect every circuit the way current standards require.
